I had traffic tickets and I was going on Vacation. I hired a lawyer, paid him $300 to represent me in court. But, he nevet did. As a result I was found guilty by Absent, lost my bond money and paid fine. What am I supposed to do?
Thanks in Advance.

Well were you guilty? Why did you think you could get out of them? Why hire a lawyer when you are guilty and have to pay anyway? What does the lawyer say about why he didn't show up?

OK WHEN YOUR ARE ISSUED A TICCKET. you know you can either admit guilt and pay the fine or plea not guilty and see a judge. so, I chose to see a judje. if I had beeen here, I would have explained my diffense to the judge. I hired a lawyer just to represent me. so, I would not have been found guilty by absense. my point is I paid the lawyer to appear on my behalf and he did not appear.

I'm still curious what the 'defense' is that would make you not guilty. What did the attorney say for not showing up? Maybe he thought you had a bad defense and it was cheaper to just pay the ticketS
