What is the name of your state? VA
My question is kind of in depth. I am part of a movement to expose a public figure in IL as a fraud. My part of the movement is to tell my personal experiences with this person publicly. I am not going to make up anything about this person, but he has already denied some things that I have made public. The thing is, I don't have anyone that can back up my side of the story, but he has people who will falsely back up his. I was just wondering what legal consequences this might have, as he already has a lawyer on retainer. I don't worry so much about getting sued, because what I am saying is true and I think that it is in the best interest of the public to know these things, but I just wonder what the odds of a public figure winning a slander/libel case are.
Also, one of the pieces of evidence that we have against this person is a video tape that he made himself and mailed to another person. Is this video tape considered public domain (like Pam and Tommy Lee), and can we make it available to the public legally?
