Hello,
I need help please -
In the "Child Support Worksheet" there is a line for "Work Related Childcare" .... which is factored into the child support figure.
I see the defination of work related child care as "daycare", "babysitter" or "after school program", "summer camp", etc. This is care for the child since the parent has to work.
My daughter is in daycare right now but will start regular school in September. She will also be enrolled in the "after school" program since I don't get home until 5:30 pm.
My question is this: are " work related child care" monies separate from school tution costs ? (any / all costs related to school)
I thought school, since mantadory by law whether a parent works or not, would not be considered work related child care .... only the after school program would.
If someone could explain this to me I would be very very greatful.
Thank you very much.
Have a good day.
Hi,
I forgot to add the reason I'm asking this question ... my ex.
Right now he's saying that work related child care & school tuition are one & the same.
That I should be using the 96 dollars a week he's giving me for "work related child care" towards my daughter's tutition.
My question is not for tax / deduction purposes but rather to know what the legal definiton is to what constitutes Work Related Child Care.
Any and all advice would be very much appreciated.
Thank you
