My husband and I decided to reconcile after filing for divorce and property agreement before it was final. My lawyer went ahead and dismissed the case WITHOUT our signatures!! Is this Possible?? We still want the agreement to go through and be final. Now she says we will have to file again!! How can she dismiss any case without the clients signature?? Everything else takes signatures galore!! Please let me know what to do. Is she just trying to get more money out of me?? Thanks, Eva from CA.

My response:

Easy. The "Request for Dismissal" form in California does not require a client signature - - only the attorney's signature.
