What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
California

Can the state of California enter my property, without invitation or search warrant, for the purpose of spraying pesticide on my citrus trees? I am a homeowner, not a nursery, and don't want chemicals sprayed on my property.

Because they have identified a citrus pest in the neighborhood and have sent out a letter that they will spray the affected area. They plan to spray all citrus trees with one chemical and the ground around it with another one. They have demanded access to my backyard to spray and if I'm not at home they want all gates left unlocked so they can have free access. We are zoned agriculture and I have many chickens and turkeys that free range on the property and I'm concerned about thier health. I have other questions...while they're here and a worker gets injured, am I responsible? Do they have the right to invade like this and spray chemicals all over? They are scheduled to do this next week!
