I reside in N.Y.

I have a question with reference to Vanity telephone numbers. 1800FLOWERS is a registered trade mark. If I were to register a telephone number in my local area code say
1-917-FLOWERS

Would it cause any legal conflict if I registered a company under 1917-FLOWERS and website under that name ?

What if I called my company City Flowers but had a phone number say 917-FLOWERS
Would that cause a legal dispute with 1-800-FLOWERS?

Any help would be nice.
P.D.

The phone number, along with the name 1-917-FLOWERS would be much more likely to attract attention (and possibly create laibility for ) trademark infringement. The test for trademark infringement is "likelihood of confusion," and the names are similar enough that is conceivable that confusion could exist, so there would be likely be a trademark risk.

The other name, assuming it doesn't run into any other trademarks, would most likely not run afoul of 1-800-Flowers trademarks, even if you acquired and used the vanity phone number.
