I live in California. (Marrige 32 years) I have found a letter from my husband dated April 25, 1998 saying he promised to make a commitment to our marriage, but if he did not fulfill his commitment and I filed for divorce, he agreed to give me spousal support, pay for my medical coverage (both until death or remarriage) and he would "give up" his interest in the property I live in. It is signed and dated and says "This agreement is effective immediatley and is irrevocable".

His attorney is saying this is not a legal agreement and my attorney is reluctant to put it in front of a judge.... Should I take a chance and go to court?????? Thanks!!
