What is the name of your state? North Carolina

My son is 18 and just left home. He is a senior in high school and should complete May 2005. I am afraid he may drop out. Do I have any legal recourse to push him to completion. What is the legal requirement in North Carolina?

My response:

At age 18, he's a legal adult. He can legally decide to do whatever he wants, and unless you have something to "hold over his head", there's not a damn thing you can legally do about it.

Now, you can always show him a picture of a single-wide trailer and tell him, "If you don't graduate, THIS is your future!"
