Legal Responsibility

I live in California. I have two sons 22 and 19. They are both in college, one lives at home the other in school housing. I still claim them as dependents. If their car is in their name and they have their on insurance polocies do I still share legal responsibilities if they are involved in a accident?

No. They are now, and have been, adults. They are responsible for their own negligence - - not you.
