What is the name of your state? Kansas

I just need to know what my legal rights our when it comes to a company billing me.

I have a Cable company that wants to charge me for someone elses bills. Example
There is a multiple people living in one house, and one person goes an opens account in their name then fails to pay. Then another person goes an opens an account in their name at the same address, then fails to pay. Then last but not least another person opens an account in their name at the same address but this person has been paying their account. Now the first two people have moved, and no longer live their. Last but not least the last person moves and has everything shut off. So this person of course knows that they will receive final bills that is in their name, which they do. But I have one company that has added the bills from the first two people that had accounts and failed to pay to the last persons account and expects them to pay for these other bills. Is this legal and if it isn't legal what are my rights. I don't believe anyone should have to pay for someone elses bills. If the bill is not in my name, then how can they do this or do I have a case against them. I have tried discussing this mater with them and they keep saying that I need to pay those bills. I have ask to speak to a supervisor or a manager, they tell me no one is in the office at this time, but they will relay the message and have someone call me back. I still haven't receive a phone call yet. I have been dealing with this now for about 3 months. Could someone give me some legal advice on my rights? I would sure appreciate it. Please Help ME!!!!!!

Your scam didn't work and now you don't want to pay? The cable company bills the address no matter how many people open accounts.

Your roommates signed up for cable and never paid. You enjoyed the benefit of free cable and you are complaining about paying?

Read the agreement when you signed up, it probably made you liable for any outstanding debt for service provided to that address. Oh, and you did get advice from a real attorney, don't be surprised if the one you are going to pay tells you the exact same thing.
