What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? washington.
We are legally separated and I need to file bankruptcy as I have no income and my unemployment has run out. We have always paid our indiviual bills and the only thing we have ever paid jointly on is household bills. He has his own checking account and only deposits 1/2 of household bills..My credit card I have always paid out of my account. My question is can I file bankruptcy on my own or does he also have to file? I hope not as the debts are all mine before the marraige and now.
