Legal trust & bank account

I am in California, My question is. My Father has had a female aquaintance for over 20 years. Is it legal for her to be in charge as beneficiary of his trust & for her to manage his bank accounts if she is already married to another man?

My response:

Unless there's something else you're not saying, her marriage has nothing to do with this equation.

Your father can appoint anyone, or any corporation (like a bank), he chooses to take care of his financial affairs.
