Would a conversation that was tape recorded, lets say from a pocket tape recorder, without the knowledge of the person being recorded, be admissible in small claims court.

just in my opinion....

if it has the goods needing, then I don't see why it couldn't be used. Unless you are on the other end (meaning saying something that you shouldn't have), then you might just be in trouble in the case.
I understand that in the St. of Ga., if one party consents to the recording, then it is legal. I understand it as the person who is recording, is the consenting party. At least this is what our attorney has told us.
Sorry, I'm not a lawyer, but just going by our experiences.....
