What is the name of your state? NY

Managment Company wants to make an agreement with employee, giving employee a severence package, but must sign document stating that employee will never dicuss anything with anybody about anything pertaining to building managmenets practices and his knowledge of these practices and also never persue them in legally in court in any fashion. Does this also hold true if employee gets a medical diagnosed disease or illness, is it legal to ask an employee to waive their right to persue them should a medical situation arise out of exposure to building related materials?

Any info would be greatly appreciated,
Sam

If this managment company is asking employee to sign a document saying that the employee will never persue them in the court of law for any reason, is it legal for the company to mean that it includes should health matters too. Is it legal to waive your right if the employee winds up getting lets say cancer related the managment companys practices regarding asbestos removal. Can they ask him to waive his right to suing them should he get mesothelioma as part of this severence agreement?

Thanks,
Sam

They can ask all they want.

But I doubt that it would be enforceable.

Only a court decision can answer your question for sure.
