What is the name of your state? Florida.

Here is the deal: I made a legitimate purchase on the Millionbuy.com website in December. I got the confirmation email, and awaited anxiously for the products (over 200 USD in sound equipment).

I used a keyword that gave me discount, since the brand I was buying had a discount coupon code.

After about a week, I got an email from Millionbuy.com saying that the discount was "not applicable", and that they could not grant it.

That dissapointed me, buy I wanted the products badly, so I replied "OK, please send the products even without the discount".

About another week passed and they sent me yet another email, this time CANCELING my order, and suggesting that I make the online purchase again.

This got me mad, but I am a very tolerant guy, so I tried to go into the website to try to purchase everything again.

They removed the product from their site.

What can I do now ? I heard that once a purchase is made online, the company is obliged to honor it. I heard similar stories before, what are my options ?

Thank You!!!

Apparently they lost their source for the product. You have no recourse but to shop somewhere else. Did you get your payment back?

if they refund you, they are not obligated to send you any product.
Sometimes companies run out of product faster than they think they will (demand is greater than the supply).

If you paid via credit card, send a dispute to them.

They will probably refund you and go after millionbuy.com themselves

Thanks

Thank you for your information.
Yes, they did refund me - I paid via credit card.

I simply heard a few years ago about a case where someone bought a trip around the World on a website and the website mistakenly charged only a few bucks for the trip. Long story short, the travel agency had to honor the online purchase.

Oh well. I guess I'll have to shop elsewhere.

Thanks for your advice.

Myth. A mistake in an advertisement or cc entry does not give the buyer the leverage to demand that price.
