I know i asked this question before, but i want to make sure. i had a car loan with a bank and they sent me the title with the first lein released signed off on the back of it. they did this by mistake. i then got rid of the car, now they are calling me for the payments. what do you think my leagal rights are? the title was signed off on and a letter stated it was my car to do what i wanted with. you comments will be appreciated.

You can't profit by the bank's mistake, and in any event, mere release of the lein does *not* cancel the loan contract. You can make them sue you [ and they will], or you can honor th eloan agreement.

Why do folks think that stealing a bank's money is O.K.,...but if the bank did it to them it wouldn't be ??
