Is there legally a maximum number of years that it takes before you are fully vested?

Example: I have to work for my current employer for 7 years before I am fully vested (getting 100% of the monies they matched). Is this legal? It just seems like such a long time.

There are several different legal vesting schedules permitted by law. That is one of them.
