A storm blew our healthy pine tree onto our neighbor's storage building. Inside were his/her motorcycles. His insurance is going to pay, but he is demanding :
1) $500.00 deductible for his cycle
2) $500.00 deductible for her cycle
3) $400.00 deductible for the building
4) $1440.00 for 3 8-hour days of vacattion @ $60.00 hr

We were wanting to pay at least a portion of deductibles as a measure of goodwill. But our local (Tennessee) insurance agent said NOT to pay because that would be admitting libility.
Coincidentally, the neighbor had put his house up for sale 3 weeks before.
PLEASE ADVISE! THANK YOU !!

My response:

I'm sorry. Advise you about what? I don't see a question.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. My question is:

Should we pay the liability, partial, anything?

Falling Trees

Suggest you report this to your HO insurer and let them handle it....

There is ZERO basis for any claim for his services @ $60 per hour.

And let your homeowners carrier deal with it all.
