I am on the board of a non profit organization (a youth basketball league), and we have a web site that links to a special message board (hosted by one of those free-bies that sell advertising). The question is, if someone posts inflamatory comments on our message board, do we have any liability?

The freebie message boards allow editoral control by who ever started the board. I have been involved in a couple of them and I could delete any messages I felt were inappropriate. And at one, I could block posters by placing a block on the IP address. These should be options available to any message board. If there not available, I would find another board host.
