What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana

The patient has already been through a Workman's Comp case and the employer has been named liable. The company has not been making the payments ordered by the court.

An account just came to my agency with this guy's name and the doctor says it must be in the patient's name since he was who the service was provided for. It was also argued that it should be under the companies name.

The question is:

Whose name should the debt be under legally and why?

My opinion at firswt was the patient as he is still who service was performed on and under divorce or other proceedings an order that someone else would pay was only binding in court but then with medical laws being the way they are it seemed more gray area than I thought.

Advice on whose name the debt is in?
