Hi,

I have a quick question about renter's policies, personal liability and policy changes. I believe I am covered in the following situation, but I recently changed insurance carriers.

Here's my situation:

If I someone sues me today (now under my new policy) for libel they say I committed in 2004, does my new policy cover my case or does my old policy, which I obviously cancelled, however, I was covered by AT THE TIME of the incident.

I know this is a bizarre question. Insurance cos cant seem to answer it. Any help appreciated. Thanks!
