I was recently bashed on a website and I would like to know if I have any kind of case against this woman. This woman defamed me personally and professionally. She:

(1) posted a link to my personal resume;
(2) posted links to all of my websites;
(3) posted that I'm a Realtor when I am absolutely not (violation of the DRE);
(4) stated that I have a 'mental problem' and 'A.D.D.' (based on her medical experience?);
(5) called me 'incompetent' and 'deceptive' several times;
(6) threatened to have my real estate license revoked (based on ???);
(7) stated I had an IQ below 60 (based on her medical experience?);
(8) stated I made false and misleading statements (which I can substantiate);
(9) stated that I gave legal advice (which I did not - this would be illegal as I am not an attorney and never claimed to be one);
(10) called me a scum and low life, stupid, etc.;
(11) stated my intentions were to "Prey on people with collections to get their email address so she can market to them" which is totally false...how does she know my intentions?
(12) stated my intentions were "rhetoric and MARKETING to get unsuspecting victims to send Ms. Butterworth their hard earned $$$," which is also 100% untrue;
(13) stated I am "incapable of learning, of conducting research, of drawing reasonable conclusions" (based on her medical experience?);
(14) claimed I was "sending emails from other addresses pretending to be from supporters," which is totally untrue - I can provide phone numbers and names from every person who wrote her in my support;
(15) stated, "If you’re in foreclosure, stay away from Ms. Butterworth or you’ll be doomed. You might as well just hand over the keys to the bank." Stating that if anyone used me as a real estate agent (as I'm not a Realtor), they would lose their home.

I need to deal with this woman. Can anyone give me some non-legal, legal advice?

Here is a link to the bashings. There were two of them:

The best "non-legal legal advice" I can give you is to seek out a defamation lawyer in your area and take it from there.

If you know the identity of this woman, and your reputation has been damaged by what she is falsely posting about you, you can file suit against her. (#10 on your list sounds like "opinion", however, and she can legally write that).

Defamation suits are expensive to bring, time-consuming, and there is never a guarantee you will win such a suit. An attorney can go over all of the information from this woman's website and tell you whether he/she thinks you have a case worth pursuing. The attorney can also get an injunction against this woman, to prevent her from posting any additional material about you.

Good luck!
