Worried about

What is the name of your state? Nevada
I am in need of some advice. I was hired by a company as a contract employee over one month ago. The company has repeatedly told me they are working on my contract but have yet to produce one. So this means I have been working without a contract and I do not know how this effects anything but felt I needed to put it out there.
I was brought on to a project that was failing because I have a proven track record of successfully managing this type of project in the past and the current manager was not experienced enough for the task at hand. I am generally regarded in my community of peers as one of the most knowledgeable professionals in my field in the U.S..

The sort version of story goes something like this: I have been accused (via an email broadcast to about 15 managers in the parent company) of "demonstrating a complete lack of comprehension on what it means to properly orchestrrate a project of this nature." "The level of irresponsibility rises to and exceeds the definition of incompetence - it can not be tolerated" The email calls me out specifically and further states "the above criticism is not directed at you (the woman wrote and initial email which this was in response to. The initial email was full of half truth's an outright untruths) it is directed a the individual or individuals responsible for making sure theis was completed correctly in the first place."
Needless to say as someone who greatly cares about my reputation I was very upset when I read the email. Infact I have been shaking all weekend and feel ill when I think about it because I know the facts which are backed up by multiple persons within and external to this company. I feel discraced and would like to defend myself in front of the others in this company but am affraid to react due to my lack of corporate law and the fact that the person who wrote the email is a lawyer. I feel that it will be difficult and uncomfortable to continue working on this project should I stick up for what is correct. I also feel that if I do not complete this project I will loose face amoung my industry peers and be scape goated for it's failure even though I was brought into an already failing program.
Well that is the thick of it. If you are an attorney who has read this far and are willing please leave some advice as I am very worried about this and how to proceed. Thank you! What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?

I can't understand what you are saying.

It sounds like you are saying that one of these managers wrote an email complaining about YOU and giving misinformation about your performance. Then someone ELSE wrote an email in response, saying that if the first email was true, then you are completely incompetent?

Please clarify.

Advice about what? Nothing in your post rises to the level of an actionable event under the law.

Clarification

Yes, you have read it correctly. The first person wrote an email which spread false information, and stated things as facts which are clearly not facts. This lead to the second person writing that if what the first person said is true that that what she said is unforgivable. That I have shown that I through my actions have "meet or exceeded the definition of incompetience and that this type of mistake can not be tolerated.
it is outlined below. Perhaps this is to hard to explain in email. Let me know if this helps.

If you already "KNOW" all of this then why are you asking for a legal opinion. Go ahead and sue the first person.
