My daughter had a child with her boyfriend and needless to say they are no longer together and he in fact has moved to Florida. During the initial separation and proceedings in family court, the father and his mother have repeatedly slandered my daughter. They have filed several neglect charges with Child Protective Services as well as we have a copy of an initial report his mother filled in when taking the child of the couple to a doctor in FL to again to cause problems. Is there a case for slander and libel here, or is this all consider due process in a family court case. There are at least 3 documented situations where they have accused her of neglect as well as sexual assualt and of using drugs, none of which are true and have never been able to be substantiated. Child protective services and the police have shown up on my daughters and my door step at all hours of the day and night. They have also taken this three year old child to the doctor and caused her to endure several needless in depth medical exams, drawing blood, vaginal exams, etc. The child at one time was so tramatized that she screamed every time her father showed up to get her for visitation. What can be done to stop this? Can anyone help? My daughter has sole legal custody of the minor child. What is the name of your state?
