My husband's exwife has written a book using a penname. It is supposed to be about him and how the trauma has affected her life. She accuses him of murders, rapes, etc, just to name a few. None of this is true so obviously can't be proven. She is selling the book on line and a county service is getting some of the proceeds. We live in ohio, she lives in colorado, and the events supposedly took place in ny.
We found out about the book when the daughter came to live with us and showed to book to coworkers, telling them that the book was about her father. We haven't seen the book, but others have read it.
She apparently speaks to other "victims" and tells them her story.
It is seems unfair that she and the organization are making money off these falsehoods.
Is this possibly a case of libel?
