my husband got his license suspended for a year because he refused a chemical test at the jail. this is his first offense. he went to court and the judge suspended it for 60 days, but the state has it. his lawyer was supposed to appeal it with the state, but we haven't heard from his lawyer and this was 5 months ago. he is a truck driver and thats how he made a living. do you think he will have to wait a year.

If you have a lawyer you should contact him. If you haven't heard from him, call him and find out what the status of your husband's appeal is and whether or not the suspension is still in effect. It sounds to me as if he will have no license for a year unless something has happened since judgment was entered.
