I had a moving violation on my new york license, and one more ticket which I am still fighting. When I transferred my NY license to CA, CA DMV ran a check on my NY driving record, and that one moving violation also transferred to my CA license. Now, my question is, suppose I lose my case back in new york, will New York state also notify California DMV about that new point as well? How does it work? Looking forward to your replies. Thank you

Why don't you ask the New York DMV?

As far as I know New York reports convictions to Ontario (of all places). I have not heard of NY routinely reporting convictions to other states.

I have only seen this type of thing from the New York side. I have viewed hundreds (if not thousands) of driving records and I have never (other than a DWI/DUI) seen any out-of-state conviction on the record of a New York driver.

I know that, NY does not record out of state violations unless they are serious stuff like DUI. But, my question is whether NY reports other violations or not after NY license is transferred to other state. If my license was from CA, and I got a ticket in NY, then surely CA would be informed. But, my case is different. I had NY license, got a ticket and while it was pending, i got my NY license transfered to CA. Now in this case, will NY report the result of that pending ticket to CA or not?
