Had new granite countertops installed in Aug. 2004. Contractor installed cracked countertop and smudged glue on new cabinet doors, floors and walls. After 4 months of ignoring the problem (I meanwhile had the kitchen repainted) contractor replaced countertop and billed me for balance informing me that the glue would not come off without damaging my doors. I offered to pay balance minus cabinet door replacement (did not even pursue the floor issue) and contractor threatened to place lien on my property. What are my rights?
