What is the name of your state?
Michigan
was seperated and in a bitter divorce, ex racking up huge debt in the process when he passed away. I collected life insurance money and need to know if I can save this for my children? there is already a judgement against ex's estate. what can I do?

its that simple?

bebt was incurred in Texas; judgment is in texas; am living in Michigan. the only monies I have are from deceased husband's life insurance policy; the judgment is against his estate, which includes debt and some physical items that his mother looted. (we were seperated) is that life insurance money safe, since it's not part of his estate?
