What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AR

My mother-in-law passed away in June. Death Certificate came back this week as Accidental - Mixed drug overdose. She had 4 life insurance policies, two of which are lapsed and two are current. The two current are a standard and an accidental.

There are no surviving spouses and four surviving children. There was a family dispute that recently caused a small claims court order against the youngest daughter. To include returning stolen life insurance policy certificates.

Contacted the life insurance company and only the youngest daughter, the one recently taken to small claims court by the mother, to return stolen life insurance certificates only has her name on it as a beneficiary.

So as it stands, the youngest daughter is to inherit $250,000 as the only beneficiary.

What can be done to dispute this? The applicatio naming the beneficiaries has the youngest daughters name only and says relationship to insuree "self".

Can you clarify your question? Are you suggesting that the daughter forged the beneficiary designation?

Agree, need clarification. It doesn't make sense that mother-in-law would name youngest daughter as beneficiary with relationship as "self." (or are we
misunderstanding what you are saying)
