Is it a state law in Kentucky that the spouse is automatically beneficiary of life insurance?

There is no law like that in ANY state so far as I know. Anyone can name his or her own beneficiary.

IF no beneficiary is designated the estate is the beneficiary, which usually is the spouse plus the children or parents.
