What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ARIZONA

Recently a sibling died leaving a life insurance benefit to my living parent. They say the sibling was untruthful on the application because he had multiple life insurance policies and he had only disclosed one of the two. However, this sibling had no reason whatsoever to not be truthful. They say that since sibling died within a few months of purchasing the policy, they are able to review everything and anything and deny the policy for any inconsistencies. Is that a reasonable, justifiable position?
