What is the undefinedname of your state?TX

What type of investigation would a life insurance company due after death after policy has been in effect for over 2 years? Do they have access to all your medical records?

It depends on the cause of death and how soon after the 2 year contestable period expired. The contract does give the carrier up to 2 years to challenge the veracity of the information in the application, but some carriers have been known to take liberties and go slightly beyond that period.

Essentially all medical records are game.

They wouldn't necessarily conduct any investigation at all; it would depend entirely on the cause of death and whether there was reason to believe that the policy might be invalidated.
