What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Georgia. My father had metlife life insurance from his General Motors job in michigan. At the time of him naming a beneficiary he only listed his firstborn, which I his second was not born until a year later.I was denied benefits because he did not add me to his life insurance or even touch it since he first signed up. Can I fight this at all or can I use his doctors info stating he was suffering from schzophrenia at the time of his death?
