What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

I am claimed for my life insurance due to terminal illness. It is being processed. Since then, I received a letter from my insurer stating that my sum insured has increased due to CPI. I am still paying premium for my insurance.

So will my payout amount be the sum insured as of date of claim or date of payout?
