What is the name of your state? New Mexico.
My husband is named beneficiary of his mothers life insurance. Her will states that the life insurance is to be shared equally with all of the beneficiaries of her will. Does he have to share the life insurance money?

If the policy has a named beneficiary, it does NOT pass thru the estate, but directly to the beneficiary.
