My son-in-law was fired from Proctor and Gamble, a job he had for eight years. Company policy is that you are still covered by health and life insurance until the last day of the month that you are let go.He was terminated on 3/31/00. that gave him six hours to find other coverage. two weeks later he hung himself. Leaving four young children, and his wife. she thought he was still covered. ETNA is the insurance co. Is there anything that can be done?

I am not good in this area, but a couple of thougths come to my mind. First, you have to get a copy of the insurance policy and read its terms. Also, and not of lesser importance, you need to read the employee manuel from P&G. It may contain language about insurance after termination.

My condolances for the loss; it is a terrible tragedy for all concerned.
