I live in MO. and am recently divorced. My ex-husband is responsible for paying credit card debts in my name. With the debt so high, I want to take out an insurance policy in his name, in case something happens to him, the credit card debt will be paid. He tells me that I cannot do this. He lives in CO. My insurance agent tells me that I can. Who is right?

Both are right. Technically, it is legal and possible for you to take out an insurance policy on someone else. However, the catch is that you need that person's permission.
