What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama

Just wondering if there is anything backing up my property manager's inspections of our unit. they come in once a month and leave a postcard note telling us that the unit needs to be cleaned up, it's not filthy or stink it is just lived in some dirty dishes in the sink maybe toys laying about a pair of dirty socks. right now we have some stuff from a storage unit that we just emptied out that we are going through to better organize and hold a yard sell at a friend s to get rid of the stuff we don't need anymore, but it is a lived in unit not just for show.

Yes, your lease. All subsidized housing have cleanliness standards in the lease and are inspected periodically for such. It seems there is a correlation between being poor and having no respect for the property of others.
