I would like an advice:

I have many debt, $9000 from U.S. government credit card that I had not paid as well as secured loan from a company. Both are about to sue me for the payment. I do not have the money nor job to pay any, not even a penny. I am practically living day by day.

My question is, can they send me to jail for non-payment? Also, just received called from the bank that government goes thru for the credit car, they said they they are in the process of litigation. Again, what are my options if I can not pay?

living nervously,

personal charges were made on government travel credit card, it was to be used only for travel expenses.

First, you can't be sent to jail for non-payment of a debt. "Debtor Prisons" were banned long ago. However, don't be mislead, you can be ordered by a court to do certain things and if you do not comply, a warrant could be issued for the contempt of court charge.

In any case, here is what will probably happen. You will be sued by the creditor(s). And, based on your post, they will probably win a judgment against you. Depending on your state (see the RED text at the top of the screen??), your assets could be seized to pay the judgment.

Your options:
1) Get a job and pay the debt.
2) Get a 2nd job and pay the debt.
3) File for bankruptcy.

Another concern that you might have is, depending on the circumstance of the use of the government travel card, you might be subject to criminal action (theft, fraud, etc.).
