On Jan. 13, we entered into a loan contract with a local bank in CO to purchase a vehicle. I have since made two loan payments. Today, March 15, the bank called to inform me that they had forgotten to add in the sales tax, and now want me to give them $400.00 in a lump sum to make up for their mistake. I asked them to wait 2 weeks so I could get the money without having to take out another loan (they offered me one at 18% interest...)
but they want the money by tomorrow.
I feel as though the contract should be binding as it stands.
Do I have any legal recourse for their mistake?
