What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
I am losing my home to foreclosure. I am also unemployed and only receiving unemployment, am I able to do a loan modification with the new laws being passed while being unemployed. And what other measures can I take to stall the foreclosure date which is set for the 5th of May.

The loan modification isn't a gimme. If you're unemployed, you're going to default on even the modified loan. You should have already been called by the bank on this. What do you hope to gain by stalling the foreclosure?
