1. Write him a check. Wait for him to cash it, Look at the stamp on the back of the check.
2. If he collects a live payroll check instead of direct deposit - On payday, follow him from work to his bank.

ex's bank

He wouldn't accept a check from me, nor would I ever write him one He is $31,000 behind in C.S., so we want to subpeona his bank records, but it would help to know where he banks. He works for himself, so no payroll.

It is possible he doesn't use a bank.

My hubby's dad never did (No CS issues, he just didn't use banks, or credit!)

3. Dumpster Dive: After he leaves for work, go through his garbage on the curb to locate correspondence from the bank. This is also a great way to suppliment an aluminum can collection.

You can serve him with a subpoena for him to produce his bank records. If he claims to not have any, it can be viewed as a refusal to obey a subpoena. Then he'd have alot of explaining to the court as to how he pays bills, etc.
A friend of mine did this, when her ex tried to claim he didn't have a bank account the Judge ordered him to bring in money order reciepts, etc to prove how he paid his bills. We had a good laugh when he suddenly "remembered" that he did have a bank account.;)

My late FIL literally paid cash for everything. No checks, no money orders. No mortgage - paid cash for his house.
