What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Washington
My friend and her S/O are breaking up, the apartment was hers before the relationship. He was in the one next door. He moved in with her. There is no new rental agreement, its still the original from when she rented the apt. 12 years ago.
She is moving out, but the landlord has let her S/O change the locks, and has told her that she can only get her things when he is home(her S/O). She is still the only one on the contract. Can they do this to her? Isnt this the same as a lockout?
