What is the name of your state? Colorado
I was in an auto accident.. the other driver took responsipility, she lives in another state.
Out of work for six weeks, mostly back to normal except:
I had a hemotoma on my pubic bone from the steering wheel. Short version, the loss of blood flow to the area has caused "post trauma sensory neuropathy" no feeling to touch or sharp objects, currently in orgasmic. Her insurance company is willing to settle for their insureds limits, I have underinsured motorist which will kick in.
Daily my emotions change from mad to sad. I do have 2 years to file a claim, correct?
Does accepting $$$ from her insurance release her from further liability?
How do you know if someone is worth sueing? I really dont want to end up in court discussing such matters.
My husband is very unhappy, I am confident that our marriage will make it, but this it tough... is counseling an option in such a claim?
I feel it was truely an accident... should you ruin someone financially??? I can say this for sure, if the accident where my fault, I would get sued.

Is this damage permanent? If so, you certainly deserve compensation for it! You should consult with a lawyer to see how much this kind of damage is worth. It's highly unlikely it will ever go to court, the vast majority of personal injury cases settle out of court.
