Louisiana Small Claims Court. A judgement was rendered that I can return misc. items or the plantiff can receive the monetary value of the items plus court cost, etc. The plantiff was told if we chose Not to return the items she could have a monetary judgement. What can the plantiff attach a monetary judgement to besides property? What will the plantiff have to do to get a monetary judgement and will we be notified? As it stands the judgement we received does not have a grand total with court cost, etc. What happens next?

First of all, why dont you just return the property?

Second, the plaintiff can attach to your bank account, garnish your wages, and garnish any funds owed to you by anyone. At that point, you can say come find me, I dare you. Lots of plaintiffs dont know what to do next nor have the time to do it. Of course there are always businesses like mine that are waiting to help them. And if by chance the plaintiff does know what they are doing, you will end up paying more for each garnishment, or other legal actions they need to take, not to mention the interest. I say...just pay it.
