lost/stolen wedding ring

on 7/12/01 i went into a jewelry store to have my husbands wedding band cleaned, when i returned for the ring about 30 min. later, i was told that the ring was given to another customer by a sales associate ; because she was in a rush. when the customer was tracked down, she was asked if she had the ring and to please return it; she said that she did not have it.

i would like to know what am i suppose to do about the situation with store and the associate that gave away my husbands wedding ring?

First, what does the store say about their liability??? Do they have insurance???

Second, if they won't take care of this problem, I would suggest you consider legal action (Small Claims if within limits).
