Dear fellow netizens,
My Uncle has passed away and I am assisting my Aunt with legal matters.

My Aunt's brokerage company, which is privately owned,
will not let her withdraw the funds in the accounts that were under her husband's name.
They have asked for a Letter of Testamentary.
When I informed the Superior Court, they gave me two
choices:Bring an Attorney or do our own research.
We wanted to solve this on our own but our efforts
only led us to frustration.
Does anyone know what the supposedly easy process is?

This is a wills & probate question. BUT if the estate assets are low enough (and what that is varies by state) , it may be possible to use the simple process for small estates to get letters testamentary that the firm will honor.
