My salary is based on a monthly rate. My contract does not show that I am exempt. My employer makes me work a lot of overtime without compensating me. Can I file for lost wages?

You may want to ask the employer about it? Doesn't the contract say how many hours or days etc. you work? (The contract ordinarily won't say if you you are exepmpt.) But whether the Employer says you are or not is less important than the type of work you do and the supervision and salary level and thus whether the government would rule you as exempt.
