I got married January 30, 1998. My husband purchased a home in November, 1997. After we got married, he deeded me half interest in the home that he recently purchased and half interest in five (5) rental properties that he acquired long before our marriage. In July of 1998, I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and deeded my interest in the rental properties back to him. After my bankruptcy was discharged in October of 1998, we made our wills and included all of the properties in the will. We paid all of the bills out of one account including all taxes and maintenance on the rental properties. When I moved out, I only took a sofa and coffee table with me, which he has asked for back or either compensate him for. He furnished the home through a line of credit that he had acquired at a bank long before we got married, which he is still paying a monthly note on. We got a divorced October 23, 2000, but we have not finalized our community property settlement.

My questions are: Do I have any interest in the rental properties? Since I still have interest in the home, what precentage do I ask for or do I have any interest at all? Am I liable for any of the mortgage on the home? Can I ask for half of the furniture? What would be a good way to resolve this settlement because I have moved on and need to put the rest of this behind me?

Thanks for all of your help.
